The Makita 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion 30 Inch hedge trimmer kit includes 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion rapid optimum charger, two 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion 5.0 Amp-hour battery and a hedge trimmer blade cover. Trimmer assures zero emissions, lower noise and considerably less maintenance. Tool has a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 4400 SPM and a 30 Inch blade for superior cutting capacity. Trimmer with 3-speed option that is 2000 SPM (low), 3600 SPM (high) and 4400 SPM (high) assures efficient power management. Trimmer has no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace and no air filter or muffler to clean. Tool powered by a 18 Volt Lithium-Ion slide style battery assures fastest charge time and minimal sitting time on the charger. Battery assures up to 2 hours of run time using 18 Volt LXT® battery. Trimmer featuring Star Protection Computer Controls™, allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time. This Star Protection communication technology also monitors condition while in use to safeguard against over-loading, over-discharging and over-heating. Compact and ergonomic trimmer features 5-position rotating rear handle for enhanced comfort during vertical as well as angle trimming. Tool features reverse function for clearing jams and anti-vibration design for operator comfort. The Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) is engineered to enhance a trimmer operation in harsh conditions by offering increased resistance water and dust.
